COPA - A brief
history |
| COPA works in the
villages of La Hoya and Bombita in the Dominican Republic. Work with as
partners with the local community, COPA aims is not just to build schools and
construct clinics, but as a Christian Organisation we are trying to share God's
gifts and to change lives. |
Founded in England and
Florida, COPA works in support of communities in the Dominican Republic. Since
1991 volunteers from the UK, Guernsey and US work alongside the people from the
villages, building two schools, two pre-schools, two dining shelters and two
kitchens. |

More about the work of COPA |
| Over the years, many
groups and individuals have carried out volunteer work for COPA. We are always
looking for committed people who want to work in the Dominican Republic in the
fields of administration, building maintenance, education and health care. |
COPA celebrates more than
twelve years of sponsorship of children in the Dominican Republic. From small
beginnings the standard of schooling in the village of La Hoya and later
Bombita, has changed beyond all belief. |
